There were numerous men in Neopolis who wouldn't or couldn't be shaved because their hair growth was too strong. Jade I offered them asylum in Opal as her personal body guards.
But they wouldn't stay there. She took the bodyguards to the crowning of her two daughters, but then - since she now had her daughters to take care of the daily ruling of the cities - Empress Jade I went on an expedition.
She was convinced that when Neo would not have turned back after he went to the Fiery Lands, he would have found a shortcut from Opal to the still unknown lands that lay ahead.
After the Fiery Lands came the Icy Plains. But contrary to her former husband Jade I was not in a hurry and had no enemies.
So she took the time to go and learn the land, draw up maps, find out the richness of the lands and maybe meet unknown peoples or other creatures.
This was done by daily marches from their tent camp into the four cardinal directions.
Once this was done, and all the maps and lists were made, Jade I and her body guards marched further to the next land.
So they arrived at the Snowy Mountains and made up camp, exactly in the same way as on the Icy Plains.
And so were the reconnaissance marches made in exactly the same way.
