It was warm, indeed, in the jungle, so MacDonald dropped his fur coat. He was surprised to find a path amidst all the huge plants, and was glad that they hadn't met any carnivore dino's yet.
While they were walking Tornassuk told MacDonald about the House of Books, and how it might contain an answer to his search for a cure. When they saw a huge gorilla sitting on the edge of a ravine Tornassuk told MacDonald to be quiet. "He is guarding the House, but he won't attack us. He can feel our intentions, and so far they are good."
Somewhat later they arrived at the House. It was a small building with an average number of books displayed on wooden shelfs. As if the animals of this jungle could read. On the other hand, who would have believed bears could talk?
MacDonald wanted to go in but Tornassuk noticed the burning pieces of paper and sniffed for any danger. "We'd better watch out, something is not right here."
So MacDonald entered the House of Books. It would have been too easy to have an index in the building so he sighed at the prospect of having to go through all the books in the House.
And then suddenly Barði appeared again, ready to cast a spell at MacDonald and Tornassuk.
MacDonald was surprised to see Tornassuk's fur glow and show some weird signs. "You cannot harm us here, Barði, I have enough power to withhold you from harming us, even with your spells."
Barði smiled: "I am not here to harm you, I just want to stop you from finding a cure for the aging disease....unless your friend there will tell me the buxur spell."
And so Barði cast his spell and the library went in flames. And Barði disappeared in the air. "Damn," MacDonald cursed, "I thought Barði was just a shepherd." "I guess that is just another lie Katla told you," Tornassuk replied.
