It did not take long before ibn Arabi got the message of Bernadotte's flight. So he sent a messenger to Rokhshan to meet in an oasis just outside Babylon.
Rokhshan arrived early, worrying about the message ibn Arabi was going to deliver her.
All in all, when ibn Arabi arrived, the message was not something she had not taken into account. So she asked ibn Arabi to send a message from her hand to Murat who was on his way to Neopolis.
WIthin the hour a messenger left Babylon, racing against the clock.
He was relieved by his counterpart somewhere in the desert.
When he reached the mountains he passed his message to a local who knew all the shortcuts there.
Soon a messenger was sent on his way in the valleys.
Until in the end one of them reached a small camp where Murat and his body guards were staying. Murat however was higher up in the mountains. MacDonald and the rest of the following were already further away.
When the messenger found Murat, he torn the letter open, which said: "Bernadotte and Liberty have fled. They are of no importance anymore. Advance to step two of the plan. Everything you need is at Port de la Montagne."
