Somewhat less than 9 months later Rokhshan was about to give birth. She was bored to death and playing Queen: "So this is how it feels to be royal and wear a crown....doesn't make a whole lot of difference, if you ask me."
She got interrupted by the guard who announced the arrival of a visitor: "Karim Van Zandt is asking to see you my lady." Rokhshan took the crown of her head and gave it to a servant: "Get rid of it before someone sees it, it is fake anyhow."
When the servant left, Rokhshan signaled the guard to let the visitor in. He was the architect of Neo's memorial, and it had been months since he started building it."
When he entered the architect got on his knees: "At last, your highness, I have great news." "Oh, get on it with it man, this day has already been so tiresome, just light it up for me, will you." "The memorial is finished. If you wish we can go see it tomorrow." 'Tomorrow? No, no, no, we will go right away." "But, but, the sun is already setting..." "We will go now." "As you wish, your highness."
The memorial was everything Rokhshan had hoped for. Just how it stood there, watching over the city, and in a place where everybody could see it.
When she entered the monument and went down to the crypt, she saw how the story of Neo's life was written all over the walls and it filled her with joy.
The moonlight was perfect in the way it lit Neo's coffin. "I told you, didn't I, that I would not let them forget you. Here you are for eternity, and tomorrow I will make sure your offspring will be there for eternity too."
The next day Rokhshan summoned all the representatives of the nobility and the military. To their surprise she crowned herself to Empress of Opal, Neopolis and Babylon.
"From now on I will be know as Empress Jade, the first of that name." The leaders of nobility and the military bent their knees and bowed their heads, and the rest cried out: "Long live the Empress, long live Empress Jade the first!"
