Hodēgós went out to inform where the medicine faculty was. It took him some time to find out, but finally he succeeded.
When he returned the fellowship mounted a long stairway where on top someone was awaiting them.
"It is Archimedes of Syracuse", Hodēgós said in awe, "He is a very learned man, and the rector of all the wise man."
When they reached the top of the stairs Archimedes addressed them: "Welcome. I heard about your quest. And we will try to help you. But let me make a few things clear. We are wise men, but we are not gods. It is well possible we will not be able to help you."
"Remember what this society is about. If you look at our temples it is for a reason they are called this way. Like the temples of our head. It is the place where ratio and logic are held. So remember that at all times. I see you are warriors....leave your warrior side behind, and accept the outcome of the meeting that is ahead."
"If you are sure you can do that, then you will find our most learned man in his domain over there. Do not hope for potions or quackery. This man is a physician...how shall I say it....he is the father of all physicians. Good luck."
