Once the throne and the ghosts disintegrated a large hidden door opened at the left of the throne room.
When MacDonald stepped through the door he was back in the cold again, and a snowy staircase was laid out before him.
After hours of walking he came upon a gate and in the middle of a circular platform stood and Elf witch: "Katla? Is it you? You look so much younger now." "It is, and I do because this is my world now. Welcome, you have made it so far."
When MacDonald stepped on the platform it turned into night and Katla had a crescent moon in her staff. "I am here to help you to the next phase. Without help it will be difficult to descend these cliffs. So just close your eyes and wait for a few seconds. Good luck!"
MacDonald in the mean time had learned to trust Katla, and so he closed his eyes and when he opened them he was back in daytime in the middle of a misty bamboo forest.
After the bamboo came a dark forest with bioluminescent frogs. And they could talk. When they noticed MacDonald they came to him and asked him "Are you a princess? Because if you are, you may kiss me, I will turn into your prince." MacDonald smiled and continued his way: "Wrong story, guys."
The next day MacDonald was back in the snow. A friendly woman who was seriously underdressed for the weather stopped him. "I just wanted to point out that in order to reach your destination you just have to follow the yellow brick road, I mean the snowy brick road" "....almost got it wrong...", she giggled.
So MacDonald kept walking and after another few hours met a polar bear king sitting on a throne. "Welcome, my name is Pihoqahiak, but you can call me Nanuq if that should be too difficult. I have been waiting for you."
"Katla asked me to provide you with some transport because the snow and ice will only get worse. So on your road you will meet Tornassuk who is a good friend of mine. He will help you out. And now I must go, if you don't mind, I am getting a bit cold. Time for a nice cup of warm cocoa with the missus. Have a nice journey, man with the fiery hair."
