Eryndor is the leading member of one the royal houses of the Elves. He is engaged with Faelwyn. Eryndor is secretly a follower of a group inspired by the Valdarin story, that wants to return to the age males could also ride dragons, and of the Fae cullahan and their esteem and power. Eryndor has recently bonded with the dragon called Mechior.
Maeve is married to Oberon, as are her two sisters Mab and Mora. She has a daughter with Oberon, named Findabair. Maeve is often called the Warrior Queen because she led the war against Valdarin. It is also queen Maeve who sends the cullahan into banishment.
Oberon is married to the three queens, of which he has one daughter . He also has four daughters with his mistress. Oberon is the archetype of a sluggish king: he is mainly interested in drinking and being with his mistress. Governing the fae is left to his queens.
tári is a direct descendant of Mab, one of the three queens of the Fae. She has a divine status and her name means literally “her highness”. tári does not reside with the rest of the Elves. She lives in a place that is unknown and she will only come visit the Elves in case of official events like a wedding, a funeral or a trial. It is unknown if tári has a partner or family.
Vaelorin is the leader of the cullahan, fae taller than men. He stays loyal to the three queens and leads their battle against Valdarin. He is also the one who leads his people into banishment.
Valdarin was originally a cullahan, the elite force of the Fae’s, taller than humans. When the cullahan became interested to join up with male dragons, Valdarin was the one who actually took the initiative and bonded with Beowulf. Valdarin’s story is the reason of the great forbidden for males to bond with male dragons.
