Thousands and thousands of years before the existence of the Elves, Qenya was ruled by three Queens,...

Queen Maeve ruled the atomies: only about a foot tall, or even smaller, fitting inside bubbles or being as small as an acorn. She was the fiercest of the three queens and sometimes referred to as the warrior queen or a sovereignty queen connected to the land and fertility.

Queen Mora ruled the pixies: miniature humans, often dressed in rags. Some had wings, and some could change their shape at will. Unlike most fairies, pixies were not usually said to have magical abilities. Mora was described as a cunning queen and she gave away her immortality as a Fae to be with the mortal she loved.

Even though pixies had no magical abilities they often caused headaches to Mora with their mischievous behavior.

Queen Mab, just like her sister Mora gave away her immortality out of love. She ruled the sprites: beings a bit larger than a child

Sprites were the more fairytale kind of fairies. Their main duty lied in helping other beings and keeping balance in the world.

Queen Maeve had a daughter named Findabair (also known as Finnabair), who was known for her beauty and cunning.

Just like all royalty do, all three queens had body guards...

...as well as a unit of light armored scouts so that they were kept informed of what happened in the world around them.
