Max notices that someone in the pub has been staring at him for some time. He decides to make eye contact and the stranger stands up....and asks if he can buy Max a drink.
The man does not introduce himself. He says that he has been on Max's tail for some time and that he is aware of Max' problems. He also claims that Max doesn't realize how deep he is in trouble. He says that he can help Max, but...
...Max interrupts the man and tells him to get lost and leave him alone. Putting his money where his mouth is, Max stands up and leaves the pub.
When Max leaves the pub, a girl with pink hair steps out of the shadows and follows him. Max, still mad about the meeting in the pub, is mumbling to himself.
Max is wondering what his next step could be. Go back to the pub and talk with that old man? Go back to the Boss and try to fix what is broken? Just go back to his apartment and have a drink? Tomorrow everything will be better.
Max forgets about one additional variable though....the girl in pink, who is still observing him from across the street.
Meanwhile 911 receives a call for Code 10/54: "Possible dead body" in the harbor. The harbor police are first on the scene.
Code 10/67: "Notify medical examiner". A man wearing an Armani suit is floating in the water and is showing no signs of life anymore.
Code 10/31C: "Possible Homicide" The man is taken out of the water and showing signs of a potential murder situation. The corpse is transported to the coroner.
