When Mac arrives home he first goes to have a shower and a change of clothes, to get rid of the dirt and blood. He then contacts his peers in the engineers community, where he also meets Zena, and explains what he witnessed. Everybody is shocked and disgusted, but no-one has an idea what to do.

Next he has a change of clothes to talk to the more traditionalist members of the community. Immediately when he talks of the Gorgons (they are Gods to his audience here) people start talking amongst each other.

The disbelief is great and the people that have listened to his testimony call Mac a liar and ask him to leave.

When he leaves the shelter of the small house Mac is booed and people are pushing him and following him angrily.

Suddenly everything turns quiet when Zoroaster enters the scene.

Without paying attention to the crowd he walks briskly to Mac and embraces him. "You have really stirred it up now, my son."

Then he addresses the crowd: "It hurts me when I hear people here calling Mac a liar. You all know him and what he has done to make peace with us. You all know that Mac would not be lying about this. Maybe we do not like what we hear, but I will go and find out what happened. So Mac and I will go to the Gods, and confront them with what Mac has witnessed."

People grunt in affirmation and Zoroaster makes his way through the crowd to prepare his visit to the Gods.
